The Member  of Political Bureau of The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council Vice Premier Sun Chunlan attended the inauguration ceremony of National Health Commission on March 27^th and convened work conference. She highlighted that we should deeply learn and implement Xi Jinping New Age Socialist Thought with Chinese Characteristics, fully carry out the spirits of communist party 19^th National Congress, secondary and Third Plenary Session of 19^th Central Committee and two-session, insist in the people-first development thought, accelerate the institutional reform and functional transformation, and work hard at the health undertakings at new age, offering all-round full cycle health servcie for the mass.

　　Premier Sun pointed out that, ever since the communist party 18t^h National Congress, under the strong leadership of the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at the core, people’s health level had improved significantly, and the health cause had made historical achievements. It is one major decision by the the Party Central Committee to create the National Health Commission with a view to keep meeting people’s demand on health, a big change of the health work philosophy. The new body should shoulder new mission, and truly make a difference. It is a must to solidly persist in the mega health philosophy, perfect the citizen health policy, transform from being disease-oriented to being health-oriented, and keep improving people health and well-being.

　　Premier Sun emphasized that we should place prevention at more critical position via reinforcing the health education and disease prevention, and guide the mass to foster healthy living habit to be immune from the disease attack. Accelerate to build the hospital alliance, vigorously grow internet+medical treatment, and pursue the family doctors’ signed service in down-to-earth fashion via raising their service level, such that the mass could trust them, and the patients suffering from minor disease or chronic disease could go to the doctors at the grass-roots. Work harder at poverty relief via the health, perfect the major diseases’ safeguard mechanism, and focus on the poverty arising from the diseases. Vigorously respond to the aging population, reinforce the population tracking and monitoring, promote the alignment between the childbearing policy and the concerned economic and social policy, and vigorously push forward the integrative medical treatment and health preservation and elder cause. Support the TCM cause inheritance and innovative development, and give full play to TCM unique role. Be resolute in removing the barrier at the system and mechanism level as well as the interest barrier, so as to make new breakthrough at new starting point. Accelerate to establish the personnel and salary system catering to the features of the medical and health industry and fully reflecting the labor value, so as to manuvour medical staff initiative.

　　Premier Sun highlighted we should solidly embrace four-awareness, fully implement the Party Central Committee decision and deployment, by virtue of the institutional reform, accelerate the funcational transformation, reinforce the work style, always put people in the top of the heart, deeply launch survey and research, work hard at solving the critical problems in the field of health, and keep strengthening people’s sense of happiness and gain.
