Recently, the Sixth Clinical Medical School of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine and Fangshan Hospital of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine jointly established by Beijing University of Chinese Medicine and Beijing Fangshan District Government were opened. The hospitals will be based in Fangshan, radiating the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, and become a southwestern TCM clinic and talent training center.
Guo Yanhong, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of Fangshan District and head of the district, said that the committee and the government will support the hospital in terms of financial funds, staffing, new business and new technologies, and construction of national and provincial key disciplines.
It is reported that Beijing University of Chinese Medicine has sent a team of management personnel and experts to the hospital, and appointed Guo Shuwen as the party secretary and Pei Xiaohua as the president of Fangshan Hospital of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine to assist it to establish a modern hospital management system and improve the hospital's medical service capabilities and levels. A medical and treatment base will be established on some key disciplines in the hospital to improve the level of discipline construction. The hospital will provide high-quality services such as medical treatment, preventive health care, and popular science promotion based on TCM and integrated Chinese and Western medicines. The hospital will use the school platform to carry out academic exchanges at home and abroad, give full play to the characteristics of TCM, and improve the ability of TCM to prevent and control severe and chronic diseases.
Gu Xiaohong, secretary of the Party Committee of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, Xu Anlong, principal of the school, and Chen Qing, secretary of the Party Committee Fangshan District, attended the ceremony.
