At the meeting, the executive director of Yanqing Hospital of Beijing Hospital of TCM, reviewed the achievements of the cooperation in the joint construction of the hospital, and looked forward to the future work. In his speech, the District Mayor fully affirmed the achievements made by Yanqing Hospital of Beijing Hospital of TCM over the past year, hoping that Yanqing Hospital will formulate a higher development goal, establish a sounder management system and employment mechanism for the purpose of the win-win cooperation.
The hospital president expressed the hope that Yanqing Hospital and Zhangjiakou Municipal Hospital of TCM will make full use of the platform of Beijing Hospital of TCM to share the advantages of talents, medical treatment, teaching, scientific research and management, improve teaching and learning skills, enhance medical treatment level and service capabilities, and promote the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei integration and collaborative development.
Deputy Director of Beijing Municipal Administration of TCM pointed out that Yanqing Hospital of Beijing Hospital of TCM should do a good job in planning specialist disciplines, strengthening the construction of disciplines and personnel team, establishing a hospital brand, and improving its critical disease treating capacity.

With the aim of solving the difficulty confronted by the masses at Yanqing and the northwest region of Beijing in seeing a doctor, especially a medical specialist, and promoting the discipline construction of the hospital, the respiratory, cardiology, surgery, orthopedics and traumatology, gynecology and acupuncture and moxibustion departments of our hospital, carried out the joint big discipline construction with Yanqing Hospital by introducing painless gastrointestinal endoscopy and other inspection techniques, and making laparoscopic esophageal hiatal hernia repair, hepatic left lateral lobectomy and other difficult operations. At the same time, such services were also provided, as rounds of the wards for difficult diseases, surgery, teaching and training, which allow Yanqing residents to receive advanced medical technology and medical services from Grade-A+ hospitals around the corner. In the first half of 2016, the number of outpatients at Yanqing Hospital increased by 7%, and the utilization rate of the hospital beds grew by 3.03% on a year-on-year basis, the number of discharged patients rose by 15.29%, the number of in-hospital surgery rose by 16.82% and the average hospitalized days decreased by 0.1 days.
Last September, the Medical Alliance was established, which is made up of Yanqing Hospital of Beijing Hospital of TCM as the core and the eight community health service centers as a cooperative hospital at Dayushu, Zhangshanying, Shenjiaying, Xiangying and other neighboring places of Yanqing County, while the subordinated community health service stations, village clinics and other primary health care units of each community health service center are also included into the TCM Medical Alliance of Yanqing District, which allows TCM services to reach the grassroots units, thus realizing the "sharing of resources, two-way transfer treatment, appointments for diagnosis and treatment, technical support, flexible talent flow, and rehabilitation treatment" within the Medial Alliance. Up to now, Yanqing Hospital has sent a total of 196 person-times of doctors, 3156 person-times of diagnosis and treatment services and 14 person-times of transfer treatment services to the medical units of the Medial Alliance.
