On the afternoon of November 23, the Beijing Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) held a conference on the overseas development and cultural communication of Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) by video conference. Yang Yiwen, vice chairman of Beijing CPPCC, presided over the meeting and delivered a speech.

　　The committee members and experts suggested that TCM international exchanges and cooperation be made an integral part of the "Four Centers" in Beijing, the overall design and policy innovation of TCM international exchanges and cooperation in the capital should be strengthened, and a new pattern of government support and social participation should be established. It’s essential to sort out and integrate TCM resources in the Capital and build a gathering platform for international TCM exchange and cooperation and an international TCM service system in the capital. We will take the initiative to give full play to Beijing's advantages and role in promoting the standardization of TRADITIONAL Chinese medicine. Efforts will be made to enhance international communication capabilities and promote international exchanges and cooperation in various fields.

　　Yang Yiwen said, We will further implement the general secretary xi important discourse about work of traditional Chinese medicine, give full play to the advantages of solid foundation of traditional Chinese medicine, and wisely overseas contact, continue to organize members to focus on the subject . By means of thorough investigation and study, we’ll build consensus, make recommendations to make a contribution to the high quality development of traditional Chinese medicine. It is hoped that relevant departments will fully absorb the opinions and suggestions of the survey and promote the international exchanges and cooperation of TCM to a new level based on the actual work of the capital.
