From May 28th to June 2nd, 2014, China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences (CACMS) attended the 3rd Beijing International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS). The Fair was co-hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of the P.R.C.and Beijing Municipal People’s Government. It is the third time that CACMS have attended the Fair since its foundation.
CIFTIS is currently the only trade platform of national level, international nature and comprehensive feature, covering 12 categories of service trades. It attracts guests and business delegates from over 100 nations and regions every year. The traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) exhibiting zones introduced the concept of “Traditional Culture for Health” and the five superior resources of TCM, consisting of hygiene, economy, science & technology, culture and ecology.
CACMS, Xiyuan Hospital, Guanganmen Hospital and Ophthalmic Hospital had a exhibiting booth. Achievements and features of TCM researching, clinic affairs, education and international exchange have been introduced to the domestic and international audience with several ways, including posters, demonstrating of equipments and visitor experience. Domestic and international institutions with cooperative intension were sought actively by these ways. Roughly, CIFTIS CACMS booth received over 6000 visitors, and was featured in several press including Beijing Business Today.
As one of the important zones in the 3rd CIFTIS, TCM service trade zone also attracted attentions from various government officials. Wang Guoqiang, Deputy Director of the State Commission of Health and Family Planning and Director of the State Administration of TCM, visited the CACMS booth when he came to the TCM service trade zone. Wang Zhiyong, Deputy Director of the State Administration of TCM and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of CACMS, Liu Baoyan, Executive Deputy Director of CACMS and, Fan Jiping, Deputy Director of CACMS also paid great attention to the Fair and visited the CACMS booth to give suggestions and advices.
With the platform of CIFTIS, the development of TCM service trade, the popularity of CACMS, and the new channels for our international exchange and cooperations, respectively, has been improved, enhanced both domestically & internationally, and exploited greatly.
