From May 28th to June 1st, 2014, the 3rd Beijing International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) has been successfully held in China National Convention Centre (CNNC). Like the two previous Fairs, the zones of traditional Chinese medical service and trade became the focus of visitors and exhibitors. The exhibiting zones introduced the concept of “Traditional Culture for Health” and the five superior resources of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), consisting of hygiene, economy, science & technology, culture and ecology. It used the forms of exhibitions, meetings, lectures and experiences to comprehensively display the current situations and the development of the industrial chain of TCM service trade. Achieving the goal of “Reflecting the Cultures, Highlighting the Features, Focusing on the Topics, Increasing the Experiences, Broadening the Exchange and Facilitating the Transactions”, the TCM exhibiting zone welcomed applauds from national leaders, organizing committee and attendances.
    Roughly, there were 68 TCM exhibitors in both the special and common exhibiting zones, covering many fields including medicine, education, scientific researching, pharmacy, medical information, planting base, tour for health, health preservation and medical equipments. The events in the exhibiting zones welcomed over 45,000 international guests and attendances from 41 nations and regions, 18.4% more than the 2nd Fair. Moreover, 64,000 documents of all kinds were sent out. And over 7,000 visitors, 40% more than the 2nd Fair, has experienced the TCM services. In addition, 93 cooperation negotiations have been held, achieving 18 cooperation contacts in total. The contract contributed RMB 0.28 billion, enjoying an increase of 33.3% comparing with the 2nd Fair.
