To further strengthen the quick response to emergencies of nursing personnel, to ensure the nursing security and promote general quality of nurses, Miyun District Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine organized 47 people, including heads of nursing teams, key members of nursing care and all nurses in Emergency Call Department, to have an emergency drill to anaphylactic shock in two sessions.
At first, the Head Nurse of Emergency Call Department Luo Zhenxia gave all nursing staff with a training of anaphylactic shock and relevant theoretical knowledge, including the concept, symptom, diagnosis and nursing care procedures of anaphylactic shock.
The hospital requested all nursing staff attending the training course should immediately have a emergency drill in Emergency Call Department, to expose relevant issues the nursing personnel might have during their emergency cases due to the lack of theoretical knowledge or being panic.
Through the study of theoretical knowledge, practical exercises and observation and analysis in this training, nursing staff reinforced their knowledge and operational norms of first aid treatment of anaphylactic shock, and also had improvements in emergency response capability.
