On December 8, 2017, the Working Committee of Dongcheng District Health and Family Planning Commission and Dongcheng District Health and Family Planning Commission co-sponsored the First Apprentice-accepting Ceremony of Well-known TCM Masters and Academic Heritage Work Training themed with the implementation of the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress and the inheritance & development of the TCM cause, where Luo Zengang Deputy Director of Beijing Municipal Administration of TCM, Wang Huiling Deputy Chief of Science & Technology and Education Division of Beijing Municipal Administration of TCM, Wang Aiju Deputy Director of Dongcheng District Party Committee Organization Department, Jia Hongmei Secretary of Working Committee of Dongcheng District Health and Family Planning, Gong Rujin Chairman of Dongcheng District Labor Unition, and Lin Gang Deputy Director of the Dongcheng District Health and Family Planning Commission attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Jia Hongmei. The meeting was attended by more than 120 people, including the main leaders of Party committee and government agencies at Dongcheng District, the leaders in charge of science and education, heads of science and education, well-known TCM experts at all levels, successors of academic experience, and technically qualified TCM practitioners.

　　Gong Rujin Chairman of the Labor Union of the Dongcheng District Health and Family Planning Commission announced the "List of Well-known TCM Practitioners at Dongcheng District, the List of Well-known TCM Studios, List of Well-known TCM Academic Successors at Dongcheng District, and the List of Outstanding Personnel"; the relevant leaders presented certificates for the 19 well-known TCM doctors at Dongcheng District. After this, the Ceremony of Well-known TCM Masters Accepting Apprentices was held, where the 19 well-known TCM experts dressed in Tang costumes signed a teaching agreement with their apprentices and presented to them some classic TCM works. The 33 apprentices offered a cup of tea and a bunch of flowers to their teachers, embodying the traditional virtues of respecting teachers in Chinese nation.

　　Following this, the Academic Heritage Work Training Meeting on Well-known TCM Studios at Dongcheng District was held, where Professor Yan Ling Dean of the School of Continuing Education under Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, combined with the personal work experience, started from the master-inhering education experience and reflections to give some help in this regard. Wang Huiling Deputy Chief of Science & Technology and Education Division of Beijing Municipal Administration of TCM explained the standards and requirements on the construction of traditional Chinese medicine studios, thus pointing out the work direction for everyone.

　　Luo Zengang Deputy Director of Beijing Municipal Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, highly affirmed the selection of the district-level TCM experts and master-inhering work conducted by Dongcheng District Health and Family Planning Commission, and also proposed the ardent hope: First, the TCM masters should teach their students truthfully and seriously. Secondly, the students should respect their teachers, and study medical expertise diligently. Thirdly, the executive agencies should strengthen their administration and make strict examination.

　　Wang Aiju Deputy Director of Dongcheng District Party Committee Organization Department, fully affirmed the personnel training work of Dongcheng District Health and Family Planning Commission and the academic experience inheritance work of the well-known district-level TCM experts, and pointed out that the District Health and Family Planning Commission has attached importance to personnel training, placed the talent team construction on the strategic position, built a platform for the growth of talents and provided a solid talent support for the development of the TCM undertaking of Dongcheng District. At the same time, Wang also put forward the four hopes to the successors of academic experience: the first is to study the teachers' dedication to TCM and their persistent spirit; the second is to learn the noble medical ethics of teachers caring for patients; the third to learn the diligent and rigorous academic attitude of teachers; the fourth is to learn the teachers’ willing to cultivate and care for young TCM practitioners.
