Deng Tietao and Tu Yo Yo were Granted an Award at the First "BUCM Qi Huang Award" Presentation Ceremony
Recently, the first the First "BUCM Qi Huang Award" Presentation Ceremony was held at Beijing University of Chinese Medicine. The award is divided into the two categories: traditional Chinese medicine and Chinese pharmacology science. This time, Deng Tietao a great TCM master and Tu Yoyo Chief Researcher of Chinese Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences were granted the award in recognition of their contributions to the development of the TCM cause and the benefit of human health. Tu Zhitao Director of Beijing Municipal Administration of TCM and Xu Anlong President of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine jointly presented the awards to the winner representatives of Liao Fulong and Liu Xiaobin.
"BUCM Qi Huang Award" was set up according to the "Articles of Association of BUCM" and is the highest award in the honor and reward system of BUCM. It is aimed to mainly reward those domestic and foreign individuals who make outstanding contributions to human health and progress of civilization. This award adopts the nomination system, where TCM masters and TCM –related academicians serve as a nominee to recommend candidates, and then TCM experts are invited to vote, and ultimately BUCM Qi Huang Award Committee reviews the candidates. The Award selection is made every 2 years, which has a maximum of 2 winners per time, with at most 1 winner in traditional Chinese medicine and at most 1 winner in Chinese pharmacology science. The prize money is funded by the Education Development Foundation of BUCM, and each winner is rewarded RMB1 million.
