Zhang Boli was Elected as the President of Beijing Institute of Traditional Chinese Medical Culture and History
  

On February 3, the second member conference of the Beijing Institute of Traditional Chinese Medical Culture and History was held in Beijing. Zhang Boli, an academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, president of the China Academy of Chinese Medical Science was elected as the president of Beijing Institute of Traditional Chinese Medical Culture and History. Tu Zhitao, director of Beijing Municipal Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine attended the meeting and delivered a speech.

  Tu Zhitao pointed out in his speech that the Beijing Institute of Traditional Chinese Medical Culture and History should introduce new ideas and make great efforts to realize the creative transformation and innovative development of the regimen culture of traditional Chinese medicine. He hoped that in the future, the research institute would focus on the planning of "technology development center", "cultural center", "science and technology innovation center", "personnel training center" and "international exchange center" to absorb discipline professionals, and strive to play an active role as academic research leader. The institute should give full play to the advantages of culture, history and other resources of TCM culture of Beijing. It should actively collect and organize traditional Chinese medicine relics, carry out in-depth studies and strive for early results to lead the coordinated development of the TCM industry in Beijing, Tianjin and even the whole country.

  Zhang Boli believed that the development of traditional Chinese medicine needed the strengthening of the study of the history of TCM. Reviewing the history of the development of TCM in the past century, TCM continued to be hit by the trend of Western culture, facing tremendous difficulties in development. We should establish cultural confidence, carefully tap and study the treasure of TCM culture and history and adhere to the path of innovation in TCM guided by the original thinking of traditional Chinese medicine. At the same time, we should continue to apply different disciplines of new knowledge and new technologies to the study of traditional Chinese medicine to jointly promote the development and progress of TCM. In the education of Chinese medicine colleges and universities, students should not only learn the basic theory of Chinese medicine and prescription medication, but also learn computer and modern medical related courses to adapt to the development of current social and disease and promote the development of Chinese medicine with the times.

  The Beijing Institute of Traditional Chinese Medical Culture and History is a voluntary association founded by individuals, groups and experts in Beijing from the fields of history, medicine, scientific research, education, management, production, management and other. It is registered by the Beijing Administration for Social Organizations as a non-profit social group.

  According to Li Junfeng, the new executive vice president and secretary-general of the Beijing Institute of Traditional Chinese Medical Culture and History, in the next few years, the conference will focus on the following works covering the interdisciplinary study classes of "traditional, imparting, communicating, inheriting and communicating", expert lectures from other industries. It will collect, excavate, organize, publish and exchange TCM classics and folk antique prescriptions. The institute will use traditional media and new media to carry out all kinds of propaganda and promotion activities of traditional Chinese medicine. It will also excavate, organize, popularize and promote TCM history and celebrity stories as well as famous doctors.
