This year, seven class 3 general hospitals of TCM including Guang'anmen Hospital, Dongfang Hospital and Xiyuan Hospital will set up extension points of Chinese medicine services in large-scale and densely-populated residential areas.

　　Yesterday, it was announced at Beijing TCM Working Conference of 2018 that this year, Beijing Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine required class 2 TCM doctors going to the city's 335 community health service centers (township hospitals) weekly to provide medical service, in order to bring experts, diseases diagnosis and technology to the grassroots, ensuring that residents can enjoy the famous Chinese medicine services nearby.

　　At the same time, seven class 3 general hospitals will be support to set up extension points for Chinese medicine in large-scale residential areas with dense population (more than 10,000) within the scope of the city. Relying on the property management platform of communities with large-scale population, TCM Health Index of large-scale population-resident will be established. Tu Zhitao, Director of the Beijing Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, revealed that seven class 3 hospitals of TCM covered Dongfang Hospital, Guang'anmen Hospital, Xiyuan Hospital, Beijing Hospital of TCM, Wangjing Hospital, Dongzhimen Hospital and Eye Hospital. They will enter into large-scale functional communities, carry out traditional Chinese medicine services and make use of their existing advantageous resources to provide not only medical services, but also preventive treatment and education of TCM culture." Since there are many schools in these communities, such as Yihai Garden with Beijing No. 8 Middle School and No. 4 Middle School, we plan to introduce traditional Chinese medicine into the schools. In the meantime, community senility activity centers, community health centers, schools and other spots will be established to extend TCM services to communities."

　　In addition, Tu Zhitao disclosed that this year, the city will first promote the application of traditional Chinese medicine in the emergency department in hospitals of TCM, including acupuncture and small needle-knife technologies for the treatment of transient syncope, pain, stroke, fever, altitude stress and other diseases. In overseas TCM center construction and promotion of TCM culture, he disclosed that this year he will open a department of TCM in Barcelona Hospital in Spain to carry out treatment for pain and gynecological diseases, skin diseases and rehabilitation treatment. At that time, doctors from Beijing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine will go there to carry out diagnosis and treatment.

　　The city will also determine "the second batch of price proposals of TCM service project," promote the reform of the drug circulation field. Pilot reform of TCM pharmacy model will be carried out in the class 2 and superior hospitals of TCM and hospitals combining Chinese and Western medicine.
