Recently, the expert demonstration of multilingual consultation service platform construction project was held at Guang'anmen Hospital of China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences.
More than 10 experts, including Tu Zhitao, Director of the Beijing Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Wang Jie, Director of Guang'anmen Hospital of China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences, Bao Hua, Director of the International Cooperation Department of Beijing Municipal Commission of Health and Family Planning, Duan Changxia, Director of the Beijing 12320 Service Center, and Associate Professor Chang Yu from School of Public Health of Peking Union Medical College, attended the meeting. They discussed together with the participants on the 12320 cooperation project to bring Chinese medicine into Beijing public health communication consultation system.
Tu Zhitao hoped that through the efforts of all sides, the project will be set up as a benchmark. There will be “integrated three indicators” covering the talent standards, content standards, and project standards to comprehensively promote the internationalization of the development of Chinese medicine.
This project incorporated traditional Chinese medicine into the Beijing public health consultation system for the first time, laying a solid foundation for the internationalization of Chinese medicine. The two sides of the cooperation will make overall plans, deepen the cultural connotation of medical services, and truly grasp the right to speak of Chinese medicine at home and abroad by innovative means of transmission of Chinese medicine.
Bao Hua, Director of the International Cooperation Division of Beijing Municipal Commission of Health and Family Planning hoped that the two sides will work together to better serve the Beijing Olympic Winter Games in 2022.
The construction of a multilingual consultation service platform will explore the establishment of an expert pool of public health communication in the integration of Chinese and Western medicine. At the same time, it will build a Chinese and English knowledge base based on hospital library information intelligence resources. It will collect international public opinion on Chinese medicine and reports on Chinese medicine from overseas mainstream media and bring TCM health to schools. The platform will be established to enhance the capability of internationalized Chinese medicine services featuring Beijing's combination of science, technology and culture, strengthen Beijing's leading role in the field of Chinese medicine and public health, and better serve the construction of the Capital International Exchange Center.
