As required in the relevant circulars defined by the Beijing Administration of TCM, the Closing exam on Clinical Practice for Beijing TCM Resident Doctor Standardized Training was launched on May 24-27th, 2018. Dongfang Hospital, as the national standardized training base for resident physicians, accomodated 422 examees to attend the exam. The exam integrated the written examination, dictation and practice along with real patients and simulated operation, and focused on examing the examees competence in terms of the TCM clinical thinking, clinical skills and medical and humanistic knowledge etc.
There were six inpatient wards and a training center within our hospital supporting and attending the exam. VP Guo Rongjuan worked as the chief examer, supervised and checked the exam on her own. The Medicial Administration Deparment organized and supervised the exam all the way. Thanks to the adequate preparation, owing to the great supports from hospital leaders, clinical departments and functional departments, the exam lasting for four days was in good order with smooth alignment, such that the exam was finished with success, which accumulated experience and laid solid foundation for the future exams.
The exam aimed to checking the learning effect of the trainees, also examining the hospital exam points for past years. Meanwhile, it offered favorable reference and guidance for our hospital to adjust the training model and highlights in terms of the TCM resident physicians’ standardized training in future.
