The reporter learned that the current planting area of medicinal plants in Beijing has reached more than 2,000 acres, and has formed a certain scale of flower sea landscape.
It is reported that blackberry lily is a perennial medicinal plant with perennial roots, which has the effects of clearing away heat and detoxifying, reducing inflammation and relieving pain, easing cough and removing phlegm. In addition to medicinal value, the blackberry lily can also conform a good landscape effect. Its stems and leaves are straight and flowery, and there are orange-red flowers on the slender peduncle, which belongs to the same family as the romantic purple iris in poems. In the grassroots farm located in Fangshan District, the green ginkgo forest is dotted with more than 150 acres of blackberry lily, and the orange-red flowers are vigorously opened.
The person in charge of the farm told the reporter that the initial introduction of the blackberry lily is based on its good ecological coverage function. It can reach 80% in the second year of planting, which has a good effect on the treatment of bare farmland and the suppression of dust. At present, the grassroots farm has thousands of acres of woodland. In 2015, it began to plant blackberry lily under the forest. Three years later, it entered the flowering period this year. In addition to the blackberry lily, there are 300 acres of elecampane and 300 acres of salvia, forming a landscape of medicine field in the forest. For the convenience of viewing, there are also undergrowth planks and cabins. Through the planting of Chinese herbal medicine under the forest, the income per acre of grassroots farm can reach more than 3,000 yuan. Last year, income of 123 households of cooperation was increased by 2 million yuan.
In addition, in Jianggezhuang of Shunyi, Xishangou of Yanqing, there are also more than 100 acres of blackberry lily. Taking Xishangou Village of Yanqing as an example, the local 200-acre blackberry lily in the orchard has adopted the seedling transplanting technology. There will be flowers in the same year of planting. The reporter learned that since 2015, the city's agricultural technology extension station has combined the cultivation of Chinese herbal medicines with the intercropping of forests, farmland landscapes, and leisure agriculture to demonstrate the effects of blackberry lily, scutellaria baicalensis, radix, and salvia with both beauty and medical value. At present, nearly 30,000 mu of landscape medicine fields have been formed in the suburbs of Beijing. According to statistics, in 2018, the planting area of only blackberry lily has reached more than 2,000 acres. Next, the Municipal Agricultural Technology Extension Station will continue to screen the landscape medicinal plants suitable for the forest, and at the same time carry out germplasm innovation of the homologous crops of medicines and grains to create landscapes of the forests and the ditch, and promote the landscape of Chinese herbal medicines to mountainous areas and shallow mountainous areas.
