It’s pointed out that medical treatment, medical insurance and medical services are integrated into the community care service station for the aged by making the combination of TCM characteristic service and community old-age care services, the TCM health culture and popular science knowledge, and the medicine- food homology and healthy diet.

As Director of the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Yu Wenming, spoke highly of the TCM characteristic services of Beijing Gu Lou Hospital of TCM coming into the community station for the combination of medical and old-age care services, which was popular among the community residents. He hoped that the hospital would further summarize and refine the experience and form a replicable model so that the model can be promoted on a larger scale.

Yu Hongyan Secretary of the Party Committee of the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, fully affirmed the remarkable achievements in the TCM work of Beijing. It’s noted that the hospital adhered to the highest standards, and formed a lot of good examples and experience in terms of top design, reform and innovation, serving Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei collaborative development and promoting the health in Beijing. In addition, the TCM service model of Beijing should be summed up. On the other hand, the following requirements are also put forward for further promoting the development of TCM clause: First, it is necessary to thoroughly study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important statements on the development of Chinese medicine, uphold the new development concept, adequately play the role of Chinese medicine in building the "four centers" of Beijing, and make a demonstration throughout the country by using Xi Jinping's thought on the socialism with unique Chinese characteristics for a new era and the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress as a guide. Secondly, it’s to adequately play the important role of traditional Chinese medicine in making preventive treatment of disease, curing major diseases, and conducting disease rehabilitation, and to actively explore the TCM service model. Thirdly, it’s to insist on paying equal attention to both Chinese and Western medicine, and to come up with new ideas, summarize new experiences, and to develop new models in enhancing the core competitiveness of TCM.
