In order to promote the innovation and development of traditional Chinese medicine, activate academic thinking, and provide a platform for young researchers to freely explore and communicate, Xiyuan Hospital invited Professor Yaolong Chen of Lanzhou University, the director of the WHO Transformational Cooperation Center, the chairman of the Asian Guidelines Association (GIN), the director of GRADE China Center, the chairman of the RIGHT Working Group and the expert of Evidence-Based Decision-Making Methodologies Working Group of National Immunization Planning Expert Advisory Committee, to our hospital to lecture on the Quality Assessment and Reporting specifications of Clinical Research and Evidence in the afternoon of February 21, 2019. More than 150 clinical researchers and postgraduates from both inside and outside the hospital participated in the salon event.

　　Professor Yaolong Chen introduced the types of clinical research, systematic evaluation and guidelines, quality evaluation tools and reporting specifications by sharing the research experience and effective cases of his own research group in recent years. He also effectively combined the knowledge involved in the case with the actual scientific research practice. The whole lecture was rich, informative and easy to understand. It has strong logic, systematicness and enlightenment, which deepened our understanding and cognition of clinical research, systematic evaluation and guidelines. The salon mobilized everyone's participation through questioning and discussion, which was enlightening and appealing, and further deepened everyone's understanding of the content of this salon.
