In order to enhance the regularity, pertinency and effectiveness of anti-corruption warning education, on July 1 and July 8, 2019, general Party branch of south Guang'anmen Hospital organized more than 100 party members, middle-level cadres, department heads of key position and workers in batches to visit anti-corruption education base in Prince Gong House.
Prince Gong House is the only palace in Qing dynasty in Beijing that is completely preserved and open to the society in China. It is once used as the residence of the emperor Qianlong's favourite Ho Shen, Wang Yonglin who is the brother of emperor Jiaqing and Prince Gong who is the sixth brother of emperor Xianfeng, and it is named to now due to the residence of Prince Gong. Prince Gong House is very famous as it is Ho Shen’s mansion. Ho Shen, a corrupt official in Qing dynasty, was smart and competent when he was an official, so he was promoted in succession. After he got important position and power, his selfish desire also grew, he took advantage of the position to form cliques and madly accumulate wealth. When Ho Shen was condemned to death, his amassing wealth worth about eight hundred million to one billion one hundred million taels of silver,which was larger than the sum of the government’s fiscal revenue of fifteen years in Qing dynasty. Finally, emperor Jiaqing killed Ho Shen, made it to a tragic end.
During the visit, according to the history of Prince Gong House, the commentator of the honest education base focus on the painful lesson that Ho Shen took advantage of his position to corruption but got downfall and made a strong pertinence, warning, vivid, detailed explanation for everyone. The tour had a strong education meaning that reached the goal of anti-corruption warning education with taking history as a mirror, keeping the bell ringing and disciplined compliance.
By visiting Prince Gong House, all the members expressed that in the future work, they will further establish "four consciousness", be "four words and four haves" qualified Party member, keep clean and dedicated spirit, enhance clean, honesty and self-discipline consciousness, strengthen the consciousness of Party members and cadres for the purpose of serving people, earnestly be non-corrupt civil servants and the pioneer of serving people wholeheartedly.
