On August 9th, an innovative project led by the Party Committee Secretary of Changping District Hospital of TCM —— enhancing the grassroots TCM service capacity (scientific research section) is themed with “Dialogue with TCM Scholars and Enhance TCM Scientific Research Capability”, for which an academic evaluation meeting was held at the Academic Report Hall of Changping Hospital of TCM on August 9th.

　　The meeting was chaired by Liu Baojian, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the hospital. In order to improve the TCM research capacity of the hospital, Professor Shi Dazhuo Deputy President of Xiyuan Hospital under China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences and Qihuang Scholar under the project of 100 million talents under the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Professor Gao Zhuye Deputy Director of the Education Department of Xiyuan Hospital and the Chief Physician of integrative medicine for cardiovascular diseases were invited to give advice on the development of TCM scientific research of the hospital. Wang Zhipeng Deputy President in charge of science and education of the hospital, presided over the meeting, which was attended by more than 60 people, including the leading members of the hospital, heads of key specialist departments, head nurses, national-level outstanding TCM talents of the hospital, Zhongjing TCM elites, and Beijing 125 talent project members.

　　At the meeting, as young academic backbones Xie Zhiyin Deputy Chief Physician, Du Fu Deputy Chief Physician TCM Pharmacist, Yao Haiying Supervisor Nurse and Zhang Shaokai Deputy Chief Physician respectively delivered reports on clinical research work, grassroots TCM pharmacy, grassroots nursing and the inheritance and research of veteran TCM masters’ thoughts. Shi Dazhuo and Gao Zhuye made comments on the contents of the reports, and gave the positive evaluation of the research work of the hospital. In addition, they also gave detailed guidance on important aspects such as scientific research ideas, research methods, clinical trials, analysis conclusions, and scientific reports for different fields and projects. The wonderful comments not only offered the guidance for the report projects, but also provided some insights for the development of the scientific research work in the hospital. The participants expressed that they benefited a lot. The on-the-spot atmosphere was warm, full of continuous applauses.

　　Liu Baojian, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the hospital, made a summary speech. At first he affirmed the research work of several young backbones and encouraged everyone to vigorously work on scientific research and clinical practice at the same time. He hoped that efforts should be made to improve the TCM service capabilities of grassroots units by improving scientific research capabilities and promoting the continuous development of medical standards. Through the close integration of Party building work and business work, the hope is that the majority of medical workers will not forget their initial intentions, improve their medical standards, and better serve their patients. It’s believed that the dialogue with Qihuang TCM masters can inspire more learning enthusiasm of the hospital and allow more people to join the scientific research team. With talents at all levels as guidance and the hospital as the platform, efforts shall be made to continuously improve the standards of medical care, nursing, pharmacy and management, and truly build the hospital into a regional TCM medical center, thus better serving the grassroots people!
