On August 14, 2019, Xiyuan Hospital organized new employees to go to Shatangou Village, the “Pingbei First Red Village” at Dazhuangke Township Yanqing County, and Piposhi Village the old site of Changyan United County Government, conducting the on-site experience teaching of red education. Wen Yandong, Member of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Disciplinary Committee of Xiyuan Hospital, attended the activity.
During the activity, the new employees put on the Eighth Route Army uniforms and received red education by recalling the struggle of the revolutionary ancestors in various forms of entering the Pingbei Red First Village Memorial Hall, visiting the old site of Changyan United Government, listening to the anti-Japanese story, walking the march, and recalling the sweet rice. The new employees deeply admired the spirit of hard work and selfless dedication of the revolutionary predecessors, and will turn the harvest of red education into a powerful driving force for doing a good job in various posts, keep in mind the mission, cherish posts and devote wholeheartedly to work by taking the example of revolutionary martyrs.
In her speech, Wen Yandong pointed out that the whole Party’s education on the theme of "don’t forget the initial intentions and keeping in mind the missions" means that we should learn about the 98-year struggle history of the Party and the 70-year development history of the new China to have an in-depth idea of the past, the present and the future. It is of great significance for new employees to receive red education. The hope is that everyone can enhance the sense of historical mission and responsibility, and turn the learning fruits into a powerful driving force for overcoming difficulties and making innovations by learning from and carrying on the revolutionary spirit and fine traditions of revolutionary predecessors, who fought hard and courageously and dared to fight enemies. With such firm belief, we shall keep in mind the missions, and strive to become the participants, practitioners and promoters of the TCM cause in the new era.
