With its Unique Charm, Fengtai Hospital of Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine Even Attracted the African Expert Group
On August 23, a delegation of 60 experts from South Africa, Chad and Morocco visited the Fengtai Hospital of Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine in Beijing. The visiting guests were accompanied by He Xuesong President of the Hospital and Wang Xiaogang Vice President of the Hospital as well as the heads of science & education, publicity, acupuncture, rehabilitation and preventive disease treatment and other relevant departments.
He Xuesong introduced the overall situation of the hospital to the delegation of African experts, and also made a brief introduction of the hospital scale, the hospital development history, the hospital development direction and goals, and others. He said: "Under the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping, and the impetus of the 'One Belt, One Road' policy, there are more and more opportunities for exchanges between Chinese experts and foreign counterparts, and the influence of TCM on the global scale is also on the increase. We warmly welcome the people all over the world to experience and love Chinese TCM culture. We will also take practical actions to make the Chinese TCM culture truly 'pass down and go global' and to make Chinese TCM culture contribute to the health of people around the world."
Subsequently, the delegation of African experts paid a visit to the acupuncture and moxibustion department, the rehabilitation medicine department, and the preventive disease treatment department, and made the observation of the whole process of diagnosis and treatment of TCM on the spot. In addition, some TCM treatments were explained for the African experts. The two sides also carried out clinical discussions. African experts showed a keen interest in the dialectical TCM methods such as "watching, smelling, asking, and feeling", and also experienced the TCM therapy on the site.
Finally, the representative of the African expert delegation expressed that they should learn from the sound medical system of TCM and the atmosphere of the Chinese people's love of TCM culture. They also spoke highly of the medical skills of the experts from Beijing Fengtai Hospital of Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine, and expressed their expectations for the future cooperation between the two sides.
