On September 26, Beijing Massage Hospital held a licensing ceremony for the Traditional Chinese Medicine Inheritance Studio. Wang Huiling, Director of Science and Education Department of Beijing Municipal Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Guo Yankui, Deputy Director of Xicheng District Health Committee, and relevant leaders attended the ceremony.
At the ceremony, the leaders of the Municipal Medical Bureau and the District Health Committee awarded the license to the studio, and jointly witnessed the Master ceremony of the studio's four instructors, guiding teacher, chief physician Wang Linpeng, chief physician Wang Liping, chief physician Zhi Manxia, chief physician Fu Zhonghua, and six successors with traditional Chinese medicine characteristics and cultural connotation. The successors’ representative read out the oath of worshipping the instructors. Ran Qunfang and other six successors presented the instructors with a post, flowers and a salute. The instructors returned the classic books of traditional Chinese medicine to the successors. The process of awarding and worshipping the instructor was simple and dignified.
Secretary Lai Wei of Beijing Massage Hospital stressed the necessity and importance of building an inheritance studio and the effect of traditional Chinese medicine teachers' inheritance on personnel training. He reviewed the history and achievements of the inheritance work of Beijing Massage Hospital. The hospital has organized 11 sessions of hospital-level teachers' inheritance work and has successively become the fourth batch of Beijing municipal-level and sixth batch of national-level teachers' inheritance and guidance teachers, training nearly 100 successors of traditional Chinese medicine massage specialty, with fruitful results. The establishment of the old traditional Chinese medicine studio is to further enhance the exchange and learning between hospitals, inherit the valuable academic thoughts and clinical experience of well-known experts, learn advanced management experience, and train a group of academic leaders and backbone.
Wang Huiling, Director of Science and Education Department of Beijing Municipal Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, pointed out that in recent years Beijing Massage Hospital has achieved remarkable results in various fields such as specialty construction, academic research, "the belt and road initiative" construction, "coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei traditional Chinese medicine", traditional Chinese medicine inheritance project, and international medical and tourism services of traditional Chinese medicine. The four instructors of this licensing studio are all well-known experts with rich clinical experience and extremely high academic attainments. Beijing Massage Hospital, as the supporting unit, should fully understand the significance of the construction of this inheritance studio, implement the Strategic Planning Outline for the Development of Traditional Chinese Medicine (2016-2030) and the Healthy China 2030 Planning Outline, take the construction of this studio as an opportunity to promote the rapid, sustainable and healthy development of various disciplines in the hospital, and take effective measures to promote the development of general practice in the traditional Chinese medicine hospital and contribute to the construction of "Healthy Beijing".
The awarding ceremony is an important measure to further inherit the valuable academic thoughts and clinical experiences of well-known experts and to train academic leaders and academic backbones. It is bound to promote the role of Beijing Massage Hospital as a key specialized hospital and a national medical massage technology resource center for the blind, and to play a more important role in promoting the cooperation of traditional Chinese medicine in medical treatment, health care, scientific research, education, industry and culture in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
