Beijing Longfu Hospital Launched Chinese Herb Identification and Picking Activities
With a view to further inheriting, promoting and innovating the TCM culture, thoroughly understanding and carrying forward the profound traditional Chinese medicine spirit, and providing better TCM services for patients, On October 26th, Lu Yanli President of Beijing Longfu Hospital, Jiang Guodong Party Secretary of the hospital and the remaining members of the leadership team led a party consisting of clinicians and pharmacists to go to Qianlingshan at Wangzuo Town Fengtai District, for the sake of learning about the growth and distribution of Chinese herbs, and identifying and picking herbs.
During the activity, the medical staff members were divided into two groups, and they learned more about the nature, characteristics and medicinal value of each Chinese herb seen along the way by following the experts. While listened intently, they also carefully picked and recognized the herbs. From time to time, they asked questions, took notes and took photos of them, and carefully recorded the experts' explanations for Chinese herbs. The profound knowledge and sincere attitude of the experts have left a deep impression on the medical staff. They were indulged in the beautiful nature of the natural oxygen bar, enjoying the knowledge baptism of Chinese herbal culture.
After the herb-collecting activities ended, everyone was quite rewarded and returned with a full load of herbs. They were tired but delighted. The Chinese herbs with fragrant dewdrops were taken back to the hospital, and processed into specimens for display, or transplanted to the Herb Garden.
The purpose of this activity is to further promote the development of distinctive TCM technology, and comprehensively improve the basic knowledge and practical clinical application ability of TCM practitioners. Furthermore, it can also play a positive role in encouraging medical personnel to study the TCM classic and prescription culture, and consolidate the basic theoretic knowledge of TCM, thereby contributing to the improvement of the clinical application of TCM.
