Xuanwu TCM Hospital organized a seminar on the project of home-based care
In order to promote the pilot work of reform in home and community care services for the elderly in Xicheng District and successfully complete the pilot project of combining medical and nursing care, Xuanwu TCM Hospital held a seminar on the project of home-based care on November 12. Li Ruifeng, dean of school of management, Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, and Wang Xiaofan, associate professor, were invited for expert consultation on the project. The director of the hospital, the deputy director of business and directors of related departments, the head of the Tianqiao community health service center, and the head of Huijiafeng Health Industry Group attended the meeting.
The seminar was presided over by the vice President of the business, who interpreted Implementation Plan for Reform Pilot of Home and Community Care Services for the Elderly in Beijing Xicheng District at first. And then, the president and the director of orthopedics department introduced the Implementation Plan of Constructing Model of Xuanwu TCM Hospita - Tianqiao community - Huijiafeng Home-based Nursing Service and Discussion on the Promotion of Muscle-bone Strengthening Exercise in Home-based Care for the Elderly respectively, two national pilot projects of combining medical care and nursing. Furthermore, they fully discussed the mode and mechanism of how to develop home-based elderly care service.
The construction of home-based care project will provide a basis for effectively boosting the combination of medical care and nursing in Xicheng District, so that the elderly can obtain convenient, fast and accessible medical and health services in home-based and community care, and lay a solid foundation for promoting the public service of old-age care and improving public satisfaction.
