Stroke has become the "major killer" of national people's health. National Commission of Health and Family Planning started this screening and prevention project since 2011. Series of public interest campaigns such as stroke risk screening, free-medical care, health lectures were held, broadly popularizing cardio-cerebral disease prevention and treatment, which greatly increased the public's consciousness of stroke prevention and treatment. In May 2011, Aerospace Center Hospital became the first batch of national screening and prevention and treatment basements in Beijing and the only national TCM basement for stroke screening, prevention and treatment in Beijing. With the great support and promotion from National Commission of Health and Family Planning, various levels of Health Commissions at Beijing and Fengtai District and people's government, Aerospace Center Hospital has cooperated with more than 10 community hospitals, maintaining a close relationship with various levels community health service center at Fengtai District. A chronicle disease screening and prevention network for stroke led by the government, based at community hospital and technically guided by Aerospace Center Hospital has been set up, aiming at exploration of multi-level management and two-way transfer. In 4 years, some 50 thousand people had their body examined, with a number of 10,954 people belonging to high risk group. 9,488 copies of data entered the national stroke data platform. Meanwhile, TCM featured treatment of the hospital is availed and the "preventive treatment of disease" idea was combined in the screening activity, for which a TCM syndrome investigation table were added for collecting four-diagnostic-method information to achieve a new model and method so as to contribute to Chinese characteristic stroke prevention and treatment system. In 2013, Aerospace Center Hospital was authorized "National Stoke Screening, Prevention and Treatment Demonstration Base Hospital".

    In the comprehensive chronicle base of national chronicle prevention and treatment at Fengtai District, Aerospace Center Hospital built a comprehensive and deep cooperation with various level hospitals at Fengtai District in terms of medical, research and talent training. Based on levelled management, they jointly applied an approved project of Beijing Municipal and Fengtai District chronicle diseases management. A number of academic papers were issued and 3A hospital-community hospital co-worked chronicle disease management model were set up.  They achieved a lot and set up deep friendship. To further the cooperation and communication, Aerospace Center Hospital-Regional Medical Consortium of TCM at Fengtai District was officially established with the support from Beijing Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Health Commission of Health and Family Planning at Fengtai District and BUCM. 15 institutes became the first batch of member hospitals.

    This activity was the first one since the establishment of Consortium. On that day, 10 experts from cerebropathy Consortium made free-medical care consultation, health examination, duplex carotid, recovery and health preservation training, community chronicle TCM prevention and treatment and so forth. They made E-jiao ointment for the public and was warmly welcomed by the public. More than 200 people came to the spot. In the afternoon, Regional Medical Consortium of TCM at Fengtai District Beijing TCM Health (Community) Country Associated Institutes sent doctors to the vasculopathy summit. Deputy Dean, Chief Physician Guo Rongjuan of Aerospace Center Hospital, Chief Physician Wang Gesheng, Director of Cerebral Surgery Dept. made  an academic report on TCM and Western Diagnosis and Treatment of Chronic Cerebral Circulation Insufficiency (CCCI) to provide talent training at Fengtai District.

    In the future, Aerospace Center Hospital-Regional Medical Consortium of TCM at Fengtai District will have comprehensive cooperation on chronicle disease prevention and treatment, intensive disease treatment, consultation-preservation integration, residents’ health preservation and health information publicity, featuring all levels hospitals and forward TCM hospitals to community for the benefit the public. This is for the public's health at Beijing and even serving the goal of Health China.
