On January 7, 2017, Chen Tongyun Academic Inheritance and Promotion & the National Famous Dermatology Doctor Academic Forum was held at Beijing Convention Center, which was
sponsored by Beijing Hospital of TCM under Capital Medical University, implemented by Zhao Bingnan Dermatology Research Center of Beijing, Dermatology Department of Beijing Hospital of TCM, Yanjing Zhao’s Dermatology School Inheritance Studio, Chen Tongyun Inheritance Studio, Medical Beauty Committee of Beijing Association of Chinese Medicine, TCM Master Inheritance Work Committee of Beijing Association of Chinese Medicine, Beijing Capital TCM Medical Technology Development Corporation, and assisted by the Cosmetics Technology Center of Chinese Academy of Inspection and Quarantine and Yufucui Beijing Biotechnology Co., Ltd..
First of all, Chen Tongyun brand "ginseng skin-beautifying series" and "Jinhua skin-refreshing series" products were released. The medical cosmetology prescriptions of "ginseng skin-beautifying series" and "Jinhua skin-refreshing series" explored and developed by Professor Chen Tongyun for more than ten years, were donated to Beijing TCM Hospital for free of charges, which was authorized to make the R & D on behalf, of which all IPR and the interests of related products shall belong to Beijing TCM Hospital. At the meeting, Professor Chen Tongyun and Liu Qingquan President of Beijing TCM Hospital formally signed the agreement on the prescription donation, and also announced the release of "ginseng skin-beautifying series" and "Jinhua skin-refreshing series" products developed using the prescription of Professor Chen Tongyun, which was jointly witnessed by all the participants present at the meeting.
Professor Chen Tongyun is an instructor of the third and the fourth sessions of TCM Master Academic Inheritance by State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine. This time, Professor Chen once again accepted the four apprentices from the students who systematically learned from Chen Tongyun for many years. For this purpose, Xu Anlong President of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, Tu Zhitao Director of Beijing Municipal Administration of TCM, Professor Xu Yihou from Wuhan Municipal Hospital of TCM, and Liu Qingquan President of Beijing Municipal Hospital of TCM served as a witness. Professor Chen Tongyun gave away the four classic books to each apprentice as a gift, encouraging them to read and understand the classic clinical works and endeavor to inherit and develop the TCM cause!
Then, the list of Chen Tongyun National Heritage Sub-stations & National Promotion Bases was announced, namely Hainan Dermatology Hospital, Henan Provincial Hospital of TCM, Nanchang Ninth Hospital of Jiangxi Province, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region Hospital of TCM, and Beijing Tong Ren Tang TCM Hospital. There are some experts from such five hospitals who have long been studying TCM dermatology from Professor Chen Tongyun. This move intended to promote Chen Tongyun’s academic thought and clinical experience, make in-depth implementation of famous TCM doctor medical heritage throughout the country, establish a more extensive heritage team, and extend the district-level inheritance work to the nationwide extent, thus allowing the famous TCM doctors’ academic experience to be more widely inherited and developed, take root and bear fruit!
After this, Tu Zhitao Director of Beijing Municipal Administration of TCM pointed out in his speech that Professor Chen Tongyun is the pioneer in the innovation of TCM dermatology, who turned TCM inheritance into books, products, inheritors and medical services. Through the inheritance, the academic model and service model should be reformed. Furthermore, the inheritance base established today helps break the walls so that Chen's academic ideas can spread more widely to other hospitals, colleges, industries and enterprises, thus benefiting more patients, which is the true purpose of the inheritance.
Subsequently, the National Forum on Famous TCM Dermatology Doctors was held, where the famous experts and scholars of TCM academic schools from all over the country, including: Xu Yihou, Wang Yuxi, Deng Bingxu, Li Bojian, Yang Zhibo, Chen Dacan, Li Bin, Li Yongmei and Li Hongyi made wonderful speeches on the academic thought and heritage of the academic schools of TCM. This plays a significant role in boosting the sustainable development of TCM, promoting the inheritance of the academic and clinical experience of the national-level famous TCM dermatology doctors, exploring the transformation of the achievements of old and famous TCM doctors’ academic experience, constantly improving the diagnosis and treatment level of a majority of TCM clinicians and advancing the training and echelon construction of TCM talents.
