On the morning of November 18, 2016, the launch & apprentice-taking ceremony of the national-level old TCM master and Professor Zang Fuke and Professor Zhou De’an inheritance sub-studios were started at Shunyi Hospital of Beijing Hospital of TCM. The meeting was attended by a lot of old TCM experts and leaders, including: National-level TCM Masters Professor Zang Fuke, Professor Zhou De’an, Gao Caida Chief Physician, Cui Decheng Chief Physician and National Grass-roots Studio Instructor, Wang Huiling Head of Science and Education Division of Beijing Municipal Administration of TCM, Chen Hao Deputy Director of Shunyi District Health and Family Planning Commission, Yan Jun Deputy President of Dongzhimen Hospital of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, Xu Chunjun Deputy President of Dongzhimen Hospital of Capital Medical University, Li Bin Assistant President of Beijing TCM Hospital of Capital Medical University, Wang Guiling Chief Physician and Apprentice of TCM Master He Puren of Acupuncture And Moxibustion Department of Beijing TCM Hospital of Capital Medical University, Wang Xiyong Deputy Chief Physician and Person in charge of Old TCM Master Zang Fuke Inheritance Studio, Zhao Yin Head of Continuing Education Office of Beijing TCM Hospital of Capital Medical University, Jing Yuyu Head of Science and Education Division of Shunyi District Health and Family Planning Commission and the leadership of Shunyi Hospital of Beijing TCM Hospital.

　　The meeting was presided over by Wei Qing Party Secretary of the Hospital. At the meeting, Wang Hong President of the Hospital first delivered a speech on behalf of the management of Shunyi Hospital and announced the establishment of the studios. Wang pointed out that the hospital would carry out the various work in strict accordance with the letter of the assignments and based on the construction program developed by State Administration of TCM and Beijing Municipal Administration of TCM. At present, the project funds allocated by BMATCM and the District Health and Family Planning Commission and the cooperation fund of the two hospitals for the TCM inheritance work amounted to nearly RMB 9 million. The Hospital will strengthen the project management, allocate the responsibility at all levels, improve the communications and cooperation between the departments and the studios and gradually form several distinctive studio teams with solid foundation and good TCM skills, so as to enhance the specialist and clinical TCM level and academic influence of the Hospital and promote the rapid and sound development of the Hospital.

　　Then, the apprentice-taking ceremony of Professor Zang Fuke and Professor Zhou De’an was held, with the solemn and serious atmosphere. The ceremony took the traditional mode of apprenticeship, where the apprentices read the master-acknowledging letter, bowed to the instructors, served tea and flowers to them. Subsequently, the instructors read the teachers’ training strategy. Master Zang pointed out that the disciples should be familiar with the classical TCM works, which could benefit their TCM study and inheritance. Then Master Zhou pointed out in his speech that the disciples should place "noble medical ethics super medical skills, and people-oriented concept" as the goal, and all doctors should first stress medical ethics. Especially in modern society today, the two masters' words need to always keep in mind.

　　Chen Hao Deputy Director of Shunyi District Health and Family Planning Commission made a speech, where he expressed that the establishment of Master Zang’s and Master Zhou’s sub-studios at Shunyi District could build a platform for clinical experience exchange and academic thinking integration, characteristic medical service, and personnel training. Shunyi Hospital of Beijing Hospital of TCM should take this opportunity to continuously strengthen the exchanges and cooperation with its headquarters in TCM heritage and training, education and teaching, promote the all-round development of medical, teaching, research and prevention work of the hospital, raise the overall level of the hospital, lay a solid foundation for a wider range and a higher level of training inheritance personnel and make greater contributions to the development of medical and health cause.

The establishment of the sub-studios of both Zang Fuke and Zhou De’an marks a new chapter for the hospital to in the inheritance of the medicine and academic experience of old TCM masters, and in the exploration of the forms and methods to inherit the medical experience of old TCM masters and train TCM personnel. In this regard, the hospital has a total of 7 State-level old TCM master studios and sub-studios, including Beijing's first inter-provincial cooperation studio construction project, which has laid a solid foundation for Shunyi District in speeding up the TCM personnel training and TCM talent team construction. The studios of Mater Zang and Master Zhou will systematically and comprehensively study the academic thoughts and clinical experiences of Professor Zang Fuke and Professor Zhou De’an, validate and popularize them and then form the systematic diagnosis and treatment programs. On the other hand, such forms as assessment are also used for the members of the studio teams to make TCM inheritance better, focusing on training TCM heritage team and outstanding TCM talents, so as to promote the TCM innovation and development.
