As President of the Hospital, Lai Wei in his speech pointed out: "over the past 58 years Beijing Massage Hospital has inherited and accumulated of massaging techniques and skills from generation to generation, as the "Golden Mirror of Medicine" said: TCM techniques focus on the internal part of body, and the core of TCM treatment is a nice combination of Ying and Yang as well as inside and outside. Traditional Chinese medicine is extensive and profound, which calls for not just inheritance but also for innovation. For this purpose, comprehensive TCM theory and practice shall be combined to generate good treatment effects, thus benefiting the masses.
The Competition started in a serious, tense, standardized and orderly way, where each player determined the assessment experts by drawing lots, and generated his or her final results after three rounds of the competitions by applying the four techniques of "rolling", "rubbing" "hitting" and "trembling". Finally, the nine experts of the hospital commented on the operations by the players, conducted live demonstrations of the essentials of the technical operations, and stressed the achievement of the five points of "lasting, strong, uniform, soft and deep penetration". For example: the players should choose the appropriate techniques and strength based on the different handling parts of body; doctors should breathe peacefully and make used force even, lasting and deep penetration, with natural and comfortable postures. In the process, rigid, convertible, mobile and inflexible movements, short breath and so on should be avoided. All benefits from this.
This Competition shows the outstanding massaging skills of Beijing Massage Hospital, and sets up a platform of mutual learning, mutual exchange, and improving the massaging quality and technology, so as to make unremitting efforts for the development of the massaging cause of the Hospital and the health of the masses.
