Professor Joey P. Granger is a former president of American Physiological Society (APS) and currently serves as a professor of medicine, physiology and biophysics at University of Mississippi Medical Center. He has been awarded American Heart Association Outstanding Scientist Award, American Physiological Society Distinguished Instructor and Scientist Award, the ASH Marion Research Award and many other awards. He is a member of American Heart Association and American Society of Nephrology (ASN), and a founder member of American Society of Hypertension, and is also an invited reviewer of "Lancet", "Circulation" and other magazines. He has undertaken more than 40 of the American NIH and AHA-funded projects, published 567 SCI papers and has been invited to give 159 international academic reports. In a word, he is an internationally authoritative expert in the field of cardiovascular. Through this special lecture, Prof. Joey P. Granger shared with us his academic achievements in pregnancy-induced hypertension (PIH). He also gave a detailed introduction to the writing skills of SCI abstracts, backgrounds, results and so on, and stated the main types of contributions accepted by "Hypertension", and the rejection reasons. After the lecture, some listeners conducted face-to-face exchanges with the professor on their interested topics and generally felt to benefit from him a lot.
