In order to promote the inheritance of famous Chinese medicine experts and promote the cultivation of Chinese medicine talents and the development of disciplines, supported by the Beijing Municipal Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, sponsored by the Beijing Chinese Medicine Association, the Working Committee of Inheriting, the Working Committee of TCM, and the Beijing Chinese Medicine Hospital affiliated to Capital Medical University co-hosted "2018 Beijing Forum for Chinese Medicine Inheriting" on December 8th in Liaoning Building, Beijing.
With the strong support and guidance of the Beijing Municipal Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, this forum promotes the construction of “cultural brands, academic brands and service brands” for the inheriting of traditional Chinese medicine. In the main forum, there are three major sections, namely the traditional Chinese medicine, the academic source, and clinical experience. Chinese medicine masters and well-known Chinese medicine experts were invited to the forum to give academic reports. The sub-forum includes five themes of Yanjing Medical Epidermis, Gynecology, Acupuncture, Otolaryngology and Traditional Chinese Medicine Inheriting. The methods, system and results of TCM inheritance were discussed, focusing on inheriting, developing and utilizing Chinese medicine as a valuable resource to continuously improve the quality and effectiveness of traditional Chinese medicine.
Inheritance is the foundation and source of the innovation and development of TCM. At the “4th Beijing Forum for Chinese Medicine Inheriting” on December 8th, the Beijing Municipal Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine launched a new measure for the evaluation of TCM inheritance, guiding teachers and peers from the three dimensions of “cultural, academic and service brands” to evaluate whether the inheritance of the work of the station is "authentic". The forum provided guidance and demonstration for the inheritance of the work of "seeking true and authentic results." Heads of 10 representative studios were invited to give reports on the academic and authenticity of the famous Chinese medicine experts and the construction of three brands of culture, academics and services. The reported studios includes 3 famous research rooms (Zhao Shaoqin Famous Doctor Research Office, Kong Bohua Famous Doctor Research Office and Zhao Bingnan Famous Doctor Research Office), 3 TCM masters' studios (national doctor Yan Zhenghua, Jin Shiyuan and Liu Minru); 3 Inheritance studio station of capital doctors (Professor Zhang Binghou from Beijing Chinese Medicine Hospital, Professor Guo Weiqin from Dongzhimen Hospital of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, Professor Xiao Xiaoping from China-Japan Friendship Hospital), a grassroots old TCM inheritance studio (Professor Gao Caida from Shunyi Hospital of Beijing Chinese Medicine Hospital). In the report of the heads of the inheritance studios of TCM masters and national doctors, the instructor of the report station signed to confirm the the authenticity of the reported content inheriting and the guests voted on the brand building of the studio.
Different from previous conferences, a sub-forum for TCM inheritance and development was set specially, covering the inheritance of TCM culture, authentic medicine, traditional preparations, quality control and so on. The forum was focused on combing the development of modern TCM culture in Beijing, telling stories about the protection of intangible cultural heritage of TCM, showing the achievements of excellent Chinese medicine products, sharing the traceability management methods of modern TCM, to reflect the concept of TCM, covering clinical use of TCM, the harmony of TCM and its medical use, and common progress.
