Double Ninth Festival happens in lunar Sep 9th, and why it is called double-ninth festival as there are two nines. As the custom stands, it is to climb mountain at the day in the folk. As the double nine is the partial tone for longevity, it is common practice for people to launch campaign to respect the elderly. It has evolved into normal practice for Beijing 1st Hospital of Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine (BHICWM) to enter into the community to launch charity clinics, so as to carry forward the traditional virtues of respecting the elderly with our action, endowing the traditional festival with more meaning.

　　Lade Love during Double Ninth Festival via Charity Clinics

　　Sep 9th, 2016 marked the Double Ninth Festival, Beijing 1st Hospital of Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine organized 10-plus medical staff good at geriatrics and chronic diseases in the TCM and western medicine field to launch charity clinics and education in two hospital areas, wherein nearly 200 people enjoyed the charity clinics, 600-plus posters and pamphlets were given out, and 192 person/time enjoyed the blood pressure measurement for free.

　　Unceasing love-Service Care for Elder

　　Li Ruijie volunteer service team with Beijing 1st Hospital of Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine stepped into the Aiwansangyu Gerocomium on Oct 13th, and offered 30-plus elders with unique TCM healthcare service. Doctor Sun Liming taught the doctors and nurses in the gerocomium about the TCM healthcare skill on pressing auricular acupoint with bean, and he further live demonstrated the eight trigrams boxing, which was greatly affirmed by all the elders and gerocomium workers.
