Huguosi Hospital of TCM Held Training Class for Clinical Application of TCM Orthopedic Traditional Therapy
On May 19 and 20, 2017, the “2017 Beijing Municipal Level TCM Continuing Education Program---Training Class for Clinical Application of TCM Orthopedic Traditional Therapy”, which was hosted by Huguosi Hospital of TCM (Affiliated Beijing University of Chinese Medicine) and undertaken by Wu Dinghuan Master’s Research Studio of Beijing TCM Inheritance Project, was held on schedule on the fifth floor of the great hall of Huguosi Hospital of TCM.
The purpose of the training class is to analyze the experience of TCM orthopedics masters of applying traditional therapy to diagnosis and treatment of common orthopedic diseases, mobilize the enthusiasm and initiative of the clinical physicians to learn and inherit TCM traditional orthopedic therapy, improve their clinical practice level and expand the research ideas for TCM orthopedics.
Both Director and Deputy Director of the Hospital attended the opening ceremony. First of all, Hospital Director made a speech. He explained the origin of court bone-setting academic thoughts in our Hospital to the trainees, encouraged them to inherit it and carry it forward, and at the same time pay attention to its innovation, development and breakthrough, so as to further promote the inherited thoughts and demonstrate the characteristics of the times. Liu Gang, the Successor of court bone-setting therapy and orthopedics academic leader of Huguosi Hospital of TCM, also made a speech at the meeting. He pointed out that the Hospital has held inheritance seminars on “court bone-setting” for several times and attaches importance to summary of court bone-setting clinical work and collation and inheritance of the academic thoughts. The training has invited many famous experts in TCM orthopedics field and provided platform for the trainees to explore the clinical application of TCM orthopedic traditional therapy together. He hoped that the participants could be benefited from the training.
After the opening ceremony, the specially invited experts gave lessons respectively. Director Liu Changxin of Dongzhimen Hospital explained the application of the theory of replacing bone with tendon in the treatment of knee disorders under Chinese pain treatment model; Director Zhang Zhenyu of Wangjing Hospital expounded the manual treatment of cervical spondylosis; Director Chen Fulin of Fengsheng Hospital communicated with the trainees about treating knee osteoarthritis with external application of traditional Chinese medicine; Professor Yu Tianyuan of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine explained the location therapy of nerve root type of cervical spondylosis; Hospital Director Jin Tao and Director Li Bing of Beijing Massage Hospital respectively explained in detail massage treatment of scapulohumeral periarthritis and treatment of prolapse of lumbar intervertebral disc with Shi’s tendon manipulation; Director Liu Gang of Huguosi Hospital of TCM introduced the clinical application of court bone-setting drugs for external use, and Director Zhou Junjie explored the application of court bone-setting therapy in treatment of scapulohumeral periarthritis.
Fully combined with on-site operation and demonstration, the lessons given by the experts highlighted practicability and pertinence, and were welcomed and praised by the participants.
