China Association of Chinese Medicine and Zhangzhongjing Theory Specialized Committee of Beijing Association of Chinese Medicine sponsored the 8th National Classical Prescription Forum in Beijing Huabei Hotel on June 1st-4th, 2017. The Dongfang Hospital of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine team attended the Recitation Contest on Discussion of Cold-Induced Disorders held during the forum.
There were 28 institutions totaling 57 contestants attending the pre-contest, which is consisted of the computer test and random test on any of the 398 items of Discussion of Cold-Induced Disorders. Dongfang HospitalAttending Doctor Li Peng got access to the final by virtue of 100% of accuracy during the pre-contest. There were six contestants listed in the final. The final is consisted of the preemptive answer and must answer. Li Peng defeated other rivals with accurate answers and profound understanding, and he was rewarded with repeated applause. When all the contestants were defeated, the contest evolved into the contest belonging to Li himself, he answered the biting questions raised by juries one after another, and he was uniformly affirmed by all the juries. He ranked No.1 in the contest, and Dongfang Hospital harvested the Outstanding Organization Award.
As the representative of Dongfang Hospital’s young physician, Li Ping is not unique. Dongfang Hospital sponsored the 1st Dongfang Classical Prescription Forum in November, 2016, during when the Medical Affairs Department organized 30-plus clinical departments totaling 200-plus TCM resident doctors and attending doctors to attend the forum. The young physicians recited the classics to explore the medical principle, competed with each other to display their talents, a climax to review the classical prescription. The TCM research team organized by the hospital discusses intractable case and clinical practice each day, which fully displays the broad mind and insight of the modern young TCM doctors.
As the successors excel the predecessor, the young TCM doctors in Dongfang Hospital are the hope of the hospital.
