On December 12, Beijing Chinese Medicine Hospital Pinggu Hospital held the "2019 Training Course on the Progress of Encephalopathy Diagnosis and Treatment with Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine". The conference focused on the topic of treatment progress of erebrovascular disease and common encephalopatical paroxysmal diseases, and invited a number of well-known Chinese and Western medical experts to give wonderful lectures.
The conference was chaired by Gu Zhaoyi, deputy chief physician, assistant to the chief of the encephalopathy department. Zou Yihuai, head of the Department of Encephalology of Dongzhimen Hospital, Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, Professor Qin Haiqiang of Beijing Tiantan Hospital, Capital Medical University, Guo Xueqing, director of the Social Management Center of Health Care Committee of Pinggu District, Xu Yinping, deputy director of Beijing Chinese Medicine Hospital Pinggu Hospital, and Wang Xiuhong, director of the Department of Science and Education of Beijing Chinese Medicine Hospital Pinggu Hospital attended the opening ceremony. Deputy director Xu Yinping delivered the opening speech for this meeting. First of all, Xu pointed out that with the strong support of leaders and the help of experts from senior hospitals in the recent years, the Department of Encephalology of Beijing Chinese Medicine Hospital Pinggu Hospital has made great progress, not only in the professional skills, but in scientific research. Xu encouraged the Encephalopathy Department not to forget its original intention, keep in mind its mission, and make encephalopathy diagnosis and treatment up to a higher level.
Afterwards, experts gave wonderful academic reports to the trainees: Professor Qin Haiqiang of Department of Neurology, Beijing Tiantan Hospital, Professor Song Haiqing of Xuanwu Hospital Capital Medical University, Professor Wang Daming and Gong Tao of Beijing Hospital respectively gave lectures on the progress of cerebrovascular diagnosis and treatment. In terms of paroxysmal diseases, Professor Zou Yihuai from Dongzhimen Hospital, Beijing University of Chinese Medicine and Professor Chen Zhigang from Dongfang Hospital gave lectures.
During the meeting, all the participants actively involved via asking questions, heated discussions and sharing experiencs and they have also made fruitful gains through the meeting. After the meeting, the participants commonly agreed that as a high-level meeting in small scale with in-depth exchange opportunities, it offered great opportunities for the participants to learn from the top experts in China. The meeting has not only deepened their understanding of the latest knowledge of encephalopathy, but also met the needs of their job of serving the future. The meeting was successfully concluded. All participants said that this was a worthwhile trip and they have benefited a lot and were looking forward to the meeting of the next year.
