On a sunny Tuesday, May 12, the 109th International Nurses' Day was marked. Fangshan Hospital of Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine built a classic TCM ward, which was the 11th stop of the hospital's administrative ward rounds led by Director Pei Xiaohua.
Two things, epidemic prevention and control work and the work of resumption, were both in progress. One of the tasks was building the brand of traditional Chinese medicine in the hospital department. In order to further highlight the characteristics of TCM, inherit the TCM classics, give greater play to the role of TCM in the surgical field, and provide better services for patients, our department established the TCM classic ward. The departments involved in ward rounds included: Medical Department, Nursing Department, Pharmacy Department, Medical Insurance Office, Infection Office, etc. The directors of those departments put forward valuable suggestions on the improvement of medical treatment and nursing quality for related departments.
Since the resumption of work, the number of operations had reached more than 80, and more than half of the rest were third-level or fourth-level operations. At the same time, the hospital revitalized department building, established classic TCM ward and promoted public awareness. Director Pei and Director Fu affirmed the above work, and guided us to broad work vision on the connotation construction of the department, the reasonable framework of and the coordinated development of traditional Chinese and western medicine. We will certainly live up to the expectations of the public and continue to move forward.
