This May 12, on the occasion of International Nurses' Day, the Nursing Department of Beijing Huairou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine held a creative exhibition of Chinese herbal medicine. In order to spread the culture of traditional Chinese medicine and to express the hope for the victory over the epidemic, medical staff from all over the hospital visited to enjoy the exhibition themed "painting love and hope with holiness".
The exhibition collected 30 art works of Chinese herbal paste from 15 nursing units. Substituting bitter herbs as "brush" and "paint", and through steps of pasting, matching and painting, the nurses skillfully made bright-colored works with their creative ideas and dexterous hands, which displayed the rich culture of traditional Chinese medicine. The combination of China healthcare and the Chinese painting art fully demonstrated the charm and the essence of traditional Chinese medicine. These works not only provided visual feast for visitors, but also promoted the culture of the traditional Chinese medicine.
The Chinese-character shaped work "Benevolent physician" was a feast for the eyes. Made by pasting safflower (carthamus tinctorius) and the fruits of the polygonum orientale plant, the artwork is dignified and elegant in shape, and simultaneously reveals the superb medical skills, noble quality and merciful heart of TCM physicians.
The work "Five-animal exercise", made of medicinal herbs such as barbed skullcap herb, scutellaria baicalensis, ephedra and black sesame, fully embodies the essence of Chinese medicine exercise and health. Using medlar as the crown and wood butterfly as the feather, two lifelike cranes appear on the paper, symbolizing health and longevity.
"Physician's noble virtue" made of sargentg loryvine stem, American ginseng, turmeric, safflower seed and other 20 Chinese medicinal materials, embodied the extensive and profound culture of traditional Chinese medicine.
"Spring warms Xinglin (referings to Chinese medical circles)", "Health preserving in four seasons", "Plum blossoms, orchid, bamboo and chrysanthemum", "Peony and peacock" and other exquisite paintings in the exhibition, vividly showing that the talented medical staff were positive and united, always cooperated with absolute sincerity to enrich the culture of traditional Chinese medicine in the hospital. Later on, these works will be exhibited in various departments for patients and their families to enjoy.
The creative exhibition enriched the life of all medical workers, refreshed the public's understanding of traditional Chinese medicine and let people have a stronger interest in it, thus further spreading the culture of traditional Chinese medicine, and raising the awareness of TCM health care among residents.
