On May, 11, around 2 pm, anti-epidemic medical team designated to Xiaotangshan Hospital from Beijing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine released from quarantine, achieved its task and made a triumphant return. Amid cheers and applauses, team members got off the bus and embraced with their colleagues and family members.

　　On Feb. 10, the anti-epidemic medical team from Beijing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine was the first medical team of Beijing hospitals to arrive at Xiaotangshan Hospital. Upon their arrival, the hospital area seemed to be a construction site, they were busy all day from morning to evening and racing against time to clean up the ward. Acceptance and preparatory work to build 2 confirmed wards, 7 newly-bulit wards and 215 wards had been completed within 14 days. At the same time, they learned the knowledge of covid-19 prevention, control and treatment by conducting intensive training, finally all passed the protection assessment. On March 16, Xiaotangshan Hospital was opened, the anti-epidemic medical team gave full play to the advantages of traditional Chinese medicine. Chinese medicine, acupuncture, Chinese acupoint application, auricular pressure, five-sound music therapy and other suitable techniques of traditional Chinese medicine are widely used in all disease areas, with the utilization rate of traditional Chinese medicine reaching 99%.

　　On April 28, the last two covid-19 patients admitted to Xiaotangshan Hospital were cured and discharged.  As the first medical team, they had stayed here for 79 days and nights.

　　The hospital held a brief but grand welcoming ceremony, more than 200 people including the hospital's leaders, department directors, party branch secretary, head nurse and representatives of the Youth League, attended the ceremony. Deputy secretary Wen Shulan presided at the ceremony.

　　President Liu Qingquan delivered a welcoming speech and paid high tribute to all the members of the anti-epidemic medical team designated to Xiaotangshan Hospital. He said: "53 medical workers have joined the anti-epidemic war. You are always well prepared in the time of emergency. Continuously working for 79 days, you are responsible TCM medical workers! Hope you will cherish this unforgettable combat experience, sum up the valuable experience, bear in mind the original intention and mission, and make new contribution to capital TCM and health service work.

　　Subsequently, the temporary Party Branch Secretary Li Qian, team leader Yuan Qing, temporary League Branch Secretary Kui Feiyu gave back the party flag, hospital flag and the flag of Youth League. All the hospital leaders presented flowers to the team members.

　　Li Qian, head of the anti-epidemic medical team designated to Xiaotangshan hospital, spoke as the representative of the medical team. They were excited to thank the strong support from the rear of the hospital, the trust and care of the department leaders at all levels, and all the team members for their bravery, unity and cooperation. They would cherish this honor, live up to their years, and seize every moment to devote themselves to their future work with greater enthusiasm and high morale to the development of traditional Chinese medicine, so as to make more positive contributions to carry forward traditional Chinese medicine and strengthen its distinctive advantages!
