On May, 15, Haidian District held the opening ceremony of a TCM training and TCM reading activities. Based on the current situation of epidemic prevention and control, the opening ceremony was held online. Professor Feng Xuegong, Chairman of Zhongjing Committee of Beijing Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Director of the Encephalopathy Department at the Beijing Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine, presided over the opening ceremony of the class. Zhang Huan, Deputy Director of Haidian District Health Commission, attended the opening ceremony and mobilized the enthusiasm of the training. Wang Huiling, Director of Science and Education Department of Beijing Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Deng Juan, Secretary-General of Beijing Association of Chinese medicine, Xu Chunfeng, Director of Beijing Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine, Geng Jianguo (expert representative), Professor of School of Traditional Chinese Medicine, in Capital Medical University, Zhao Hai (student representative), Director of Beijing Haidian Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, all attended and spoke at the ceremony. In addition, more than 180 students from Haidian District participated in the online ceremony.
Holding the training is not only a concrete measure for Haidian District to implement the "Chinese Medicine Law", "Opinions on promoting the inheritance, innovation and development of traditional Chinese medicine" and the spirit of relevant documents of Beijing Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, but also a practical activity to raise the level of clinical TCM. The training class was launched after the epidemic prevention and control was normalized, which was also a practical action taken by Haidian District in response to the resumption of work, study and other social activities.
This one-year training course has well equipped teaching staff, such as Mr. Feng Shilun, Director Zhang Lishan, Professor Geng Jianguo and other highly-regarded authorities. It is mainly online, with teaching across a total of 60 class hours. Students can learn in their spare time. The course features content about returning to the classics and strengthening the cultivation of TCM thinking, which will surely improve the clinical level of TCM doctors in Haidian District and benefit the residents of the whole district.
