On May 14 and 15, 2020, Daxing District People's Congress Committee of education, science, culture and health organized a group of NPC deputies to visit Xihongmen Hospital and Changziying Health Center to inspect the development of traditional Chinese medicine in Daxing District, and to visit the TCM culture experience center. Chen Xiaojun, Deputy Director of the District People's Congress, participated in the inspection. 

　　Firstly, representatives of the District People's Congress visited the Chinese herbal medicine garden of Xihongmen Hospital and Changziying Health Center, experienced first-hand healing techniques of traditional Chinese medicine. They also heard details about the construction of the TCM culture experience center and the organization of various activities in the early stage. In the subsequent symposium, Niu Xiangjun, Deputy Director of District Health Commission, reported on the development of traditional Chinese medicine in Daxing District.

　　Based on their field visits, the delegates put forward many pertinent suggestions on sustainable development and the promotion of TCM culture. Finally, Chen Xiaojun, Deputy Director of Daxing District People's Congress, recognized the TCM related work and the construction of TCM culture experience center in Daxing District. Moreover, they proposed specific requirements for TCM work in Daxing District based on the legislative plan of "Beijing regulations on the development of TCM" this year. Hospitals should, first, strengthen the high-level program design and pinpoint development direction and objectives; second, improve security mechanisms to ensure sustainable development; third, identify the channel for improved publicity to promote the popularization of TCM culture.

　　As for next steps, the Daxing District Health Commission will make further innovations in TCM work, vigorously promote TCM culture, and improve the health literacy of the people in Daxing District.
