Wang Jing, a medical cadre from Beijing Gulou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine has worked in Chongli Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine for several months. During this time, she visited rural households, provided outpatient services and made rounds of the hospital wards, working with local medical staff and sharing her knowledge and practice of TCM in the battle against COVID-19. Focusing on medical treatment and epidemic prevention and control, she has made a great contribute to Beijing Gulou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
To further strengthen links between two hospitals, Wang Jing, with the support from all levels of Chongli Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, organized medical workers and patients to make sachets filled with herbs and aromatic ingredients. These sachets that can aid in the prevention of novel coronavirus and sent to many people as a gift.
In addition, Wang Jing taught more than 50 medical staff to practice a set of qigong exercises named "eight-section brocade" to strengthen their bodies and improve their immunity. Those participating truly felt the advantages and charm of TCM in preventing disease. They expressed their determination to keep practicing and actively promote the exercises to benefit more people.
In the village, Wang Jing and her colleagues went to 85 households to provide medical services. They explained the knowledge of epidemic prevention, gave guidance on the use of medicines, carried out rehabilitation exercises, and presented scented perfume bags.
The mission of counterpart support is on the shoulder
In a statement, Wang Jing said: "This medical aid program for Chongli Hospital is a kind of responsibility that provides wealthy experience of a lifetime. As a member of the Communist Party of China (CPC), I will bear my mission in mind, overcome difficulties and apply conscientiously my professional skills. We will devote ourselves to our work with great enthusiasm, take concrete actions to do practical things for the people, live up to the great trust of party organizations and hospitals and contribute to the building of a moderately prosperous society in all respects."
