-- A physician in the Galactophore Department of Beijing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine is praised by patients
Recently, Ms. Mao came to the Galactophore Department of Beijing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine for reexamination and brought a letter of thanks and a silk banner to express her gratitude to all the medical staff in the Galactophore Department.
Ms. Mao is a patient with breast nodules. Since it was discovered at the end of 2018, she had been undergoing regular reexamination in the Galactophore Department of Beijing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, with better control. In the second half of 2019, due to work reasons, the examination was not conducted on time. In late October, the reexamination of B-mode ultrasonography showed that the nodules were larger than before, which attracted the attention of Deputy Chief Physician Fu Na. Doctor Fu, with rich clinical experience, thought that with greater pressure and heavy psychological burden, the risk of breast nodule might continue to grow, even cause malignant transformation. Ms. Mao was advised to cut the nodule. But Ms. Mao was too scared of injections and surgery to make up her mind. Therefore, Fu advised her to observe for two more months. If the nodules continue to grow, they should be removed as soon as possible.
Considering Ms. Mao's emotional tension and anxiety, Dr. Fu gave her TCM syndrome differentiation and recuperation and verbal relief. On the one hand, she could relax her mood; on the other hand, she could face up to the mammary gland disease and choose to continue observation or surgical treatment according to her condition.
Two months later, Ms. Mao found that the nodules were growing again through B-mode ultrasonography check, which made Fu determined to advise Ms. Mao to have surgery as soon as possible. With the encouragement of her family and the doctor, Ms. Mao was admitted to the mammary gland ward, where she underwent the operation led by Dr. Dong Hao. Though Ms. Mao almost gave up the operation because she was so afraid of the operation that she cried for many times. Dr. Fu, Dr. Dong and the ward's medical staff constantly encouraged and comforted Ms. Mao, who eventually overcame her fear and cooperated with the doctor to complete the operation. After the operation, Ms. Mao took Chinese medicines for body conditioning, went to hospital for regular check, and recovered gradually.
