This year's International Children's Day coincided with a red-hot June, beautiful blue skies and a return by students to familiar school surroundings. Geng Jiawei, the director of Beijing Gulou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, was invited to Beijing No. 2 Middle School to teach teachers and students about traditional Chinese medicine and epidemic prevention. It was the first special class of the semester.

　　The course began with the important role of traditional Chinese medicine in the epidemic. For more than two thousand years since the Western Han Dynasty, more than 300 epidemics have occurred in China, traditional Chinese medicine has made remarkable achievements in the fight against epidemic, helped Chinese people live long and prosper. Director Geng is knowledgeable and quoted the classics to tell the history. The students listened attentively and felt the charm and magic of traditional Chinese medicine.
