In May, 2020, Aiding-Xinjiang Cadre Zhang Zhengrong from Beijing No.1 Hospital of Integrated Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine started the one-year assistance work in the Maternal and Child Health Hospital in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and Moyu County of Hotan City.
In 2018, Moyu County was selected as the first batch of key support areas of "intangible cultural heritage and poverty alleviation" and this year is the final year to win the battle against poverty. Zhang Zhengrong, the secretary of the first party branch of CBD area of the hospital, whether in daily work, or in the fight against covid-19, has always maintained the advanced nature of the Communist Party member. Having worked in the frontline against the epidemic from January to April, Zhang continued to go to the frontier area of our country in April 22.
According to the local unified arrangement, she took up her post to combat the poverty in the Maternal and Child Health Hospital of Moyu County on May 11. On her first day at work, in order to get quick familiar with the work environment, Zhang visited the hospital with her colleagues. Some colleagues of ethnic minority smiled at her although they had never seen each other before and the medical workers in the hospital brought her a warm welcome and reception. It was the first time that Zhang had gone to the pediatric ward and clinic room, after hearing the pediatric routine work and the situation of diagnosis and treatment, she proposed some suggestions on department cleaning and room layout based on her years' working experience.
Zhang said, local children' health care and the medical service level should be improved urgently. She was scheduled to support the Pediatrics Department of Moyu County People's Hospital. However, to make full use of her expertise, the organization department of Beijing Municipal Party Committee coordinated with local authorities, and changed it into the Maternal and Child Health Hospital of Moyu County, meanwhile, she was in charge of the Pediatric Department of Infection-Control Department of the hospital. During a short period of half month, Zhang carried out the training of infection control, unified and standardized operations. On the behalf of the hospital, she participated in the technology training of covid-19 prevention and control organized by the autonomous region's childcare institutions, in addition, went to rural areas to provide free diagnosis for local minority children.
Zhang also said, "Due to the epidemic prevention and control work, this year's aid to Xinjiang work started a little late. The task of poverty alleviation is arduous, which will be an unprecedented test for my professional knowledge and management ability. I think that aiding in Xinjiang for a year will be an important part of my career. I will do my best to use my expertise on pediatric and infection control from the basic work, and introduce the best work method, good work experience and management approach. Together with local medical staff, we will serve local residents with better method and advanced technologies, contribute our own strength to poverty alleviation and achieve smoothly the aiding work and bring capital love to local people".
