　　June 6, 2020 was the 25th National Eye-Care Day. This year's theme was "Vision 2020, Eye Health for All". In order to create a scientific atmosphere of loving and protecting eyes, the second Ophthalmology department of Dongzhimen Hospital and Taihu Community Health Service Center of Tongzhou District launched a free clinic activity of "Going to the primary level of ophthalmology -- Taihu Station" in Taihu Community Health Service Center on June 6.

　　Wang Fenglei, the director of the Medical Department of Dongzhimen Hospital in Tongzhou District, Cao Jian, the deputy director of Taihu Community Health Service Center of Tongzhou District, Wang Yangzhong, the director of the second Ophthalmic Department Of Dongzhimen Hospital, some medical staff of the second Ophthalmic Department and Taihu Health Service Center participated in this activity.

　　Under the guidance of Director Wang Yangzhong of the second Ophthalmology Department, Physician Li Ying, Physician Liu Xinyan and Nurse Li Jingchen had performed visual examination, slit lamp microscope examination, fundus color photography and other routine ophthalmic examination items for more than 20 family members signed up at the Taihu Community Health Service Center.

　　Through examination, a total of 4 cataract patients, 4 glaucoma patients, 1 optic atrophy patient, 3 senile macular degeneration patients and 2 diabetic retinopathy patients were screened out. The activity improved the people's understanding of eye care, ensured the early detection and treatment of eye diseases, and effectively reduced the impact of eye diseases on the quality of life.

　　This free-diagnosis activity not only allowed people to enjoy professional eye disease examination and health guidance services at home, but also expanded the scope of ophthalmology diagnosis and treatment between Dongzhimen Hospital and Taihu Community Health Service Center, which can be said that the activity served multiple purposes.
