　　At 16:00 on July 9, the 146th press conference on Covid-19 prevention and control was held in Beijing. Wang Xiaobin, the Party secretary of Guang 'anmen Hospital, China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences, attended the press conference and introduced the hospital's work in epidemic prevention and control and medical services.

　　Since the Covid-19 outbreak, Guang 'anmen Hospital, China Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine always kept people's health service in mind and ensured the political responsibility of the capital medical safety, resolutely implemented the overall deployment of epidemic prevention and control work made by the leading group in Beijing. Under the unified leadership of the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Chinese Academy of Sciences, we should comprehensively implement the general requirements of strengthening confidence, helping each other in the same boat, persisting in scientific prevention and control, and accurate policy measures, adhere to the essence inheritance and innovation. We have adjusted our work focus and response measures to meet the needs of patients, and ensured that patients and medical staff would not be infected and no delay in seeing patients.

　　We should combine epidemic prevention and control with supervision to build a "wall" of epidemic prevention and control. The Party committee of the hospital should implement the main body responsibility of the epidemic prevention and control, lead and mobilize the hospital to set up the prevention and control responsibility system of hospital, department and individual,  the lateral-to-side joint defence and control mechanism among clinical, auxiliary, functions and logistics department, adhere to the list system of regular meeting, daily report and question, comprehensively strengthen epidemic prevention and control work from the comprehensive coordination, medical treatment, hospital infection, scientific research, prevention and control of logistics, the supervision of the mobilization, etc. Since the outbreak of the epidemic, the hospital has held 50 special meetings on epidemic prevention and control, formulated and improved more than 300 relevant management systems and working procedures, and carried out more than 100 training exercises, thus achieving full coverage of epidemic prevention and control and personnel management in the hospital, with no blind spots or areas. We should strictly implement the system of "six strict" in outpatient management and "five strict" in ward management, adjusted the hospital entrance and exit settings, realized the reasonable separation of patients, vehicles and staff, strictly implement the three-level pre-examination triage system of outpatient department and strengthen the secondary pre-examination triage system of department; strictly implement the closed management of the wards and control the screening, examination and management of inpatients; implement the pre-discussion and multi-disciplinary consultation system of surgery and other diagnosis and treatment projects, strictly control the risk links and departments; establish the supervision and inspection teams to strengthen the supervision and inspection of key posts, departments and personnel in line with the principles of finding problems, ensuring key points, making suggestions and strengthening accountability, so as to realize the closed-loop management and responsibility for epidemic prevention and control and reduce the risk of cross-infection.

　　We should attach equal importance to both traditional Chinese and western medicine in epidemic prevention and control, and strengthen our sense of responsibility. According to the arrangement of the National Health Commission and the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Academician Tong Xiaolin, Qi Wensheng, the director of the Emergency Department as members of the national team, left for Wuhan at the first time, participated in the consultation of medical treatment and traditional Chinese medicine diagnosis and treatment. 15 business elites from the departments of emergency, respiratory and psychology joined Chinese medical team, took over the first ward of the south of Jinyintan Hospital in Wuhan and achieved good results in application of both traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine in the treatment of critical patients. The experts also went into the community and treated 662 confirmed cases with traditional Chinese medicine in the Dongxihu Fangcun Hospital and surrounding communities, making contributions to winning the battle of Wuhan. To further play a role in the epidemic prevention and control of traditional Chinese medicine, our hospital had established the joint participation, full cooperation of Chinese and western medicine consultation mechanism, set up the remote consultation team of experts from departments of respiratory, severe, infection and imaging, providing remote instructions for 32 confirmed cases from 5 hospitals in and outside Beijing and acquiring satisfactory curative effect. At the same time, we drew up preventive prescriptions based on experts' wisdom and anti-epidemic experience, providing 370,000 doses of Chinese medicine to avoid and detoxification for 25 units and departments in the city. Chinese medicine had played an important role in the prevention and control of the epidemic.

　　We combined epidemic prevention and control with classified management to ensure the treatment of critically-ill patients. Upholding the principle of the supremacy of people's lives and safety, we established the emergency green channel for stroke, chest pain, nucleic acid detection cases and the critical patients, timely treated acute cardiocerebrovascular disease, malignant tumor, renal failure in severe cases, such as priority to carry out the operation of critical patients in diagnosis and treatment, a special time and area for indications without nucleic acid testing results or patients on hemodialysis in high-risk areas. In order to improve the ability of nucleic acid testing, we set up a flexible negative pressure nucleic acid testing laboratory within 5 days, and completed a P2+ clinical gene amplification laboratory within 17 days and successfully passed acceptance. The hospital sent 330 medical workers to support more than 160,000 nucleic acid samples in Xicheng District and Daxing District. In order to further promote the first-aid and emergency ability of hospital, the hospital started the design demonstration of national major public health project, started building a 2500㎡ emergency first aid centre with chest pain and stroke treatment rooms, negative pressure isolation wards, intensive care ward (ICU) beds, and high dependence ward (HDU), upgraded the emergency treatment level of hospitals to improve the ability to respond to major public health incidents. From January to June this year, a total of 576 patients with malignant tumors were admitted and treated, 1,469 patients underwent emergency surgery, and 21,000 people completed hemodialysis, guaranteeing medical treatment for patients with acute and severe diseases during the epidemic.

　　We should continue to combine epidemic prevention and control with internet diagnosis and treatment to improve the capacity of TCM services. In order to ensure the normalization of epidemic prevention and control, we should speed up the informatization construction, and continue to optimize the informatization service level of the whole process, such as booking, diagnosis and treatment, examination and drug collection, so as to ensure that more information is available and fewer patients are gathered, and promote the construction of smart hospitals online and offline. As Beijing's first online Chinese medicine hospital for diagnosis and treatment, the first batch of medical insurance online settlement qualification was obtained on May 26. At present, the hospital diagnosis and treatment become a service system of consulting, assessment, prescription audit, integration of logistics distribution. A total of 145 experts of 25 professionals carry out the diagnosis and treatment, completing 13104 cases insultation, 7601 cases diagnosis and treatment and 5489 times drug distribution, spreading the scope of services for 31 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions. While adapting to the needs of patients during the epidemic, the pressure on non-emergency patients to occupy emergency resources was also reduced.

　　In the future work, Guang'anmen Hospital will continue to attach equal importance to traditional Chinese and western medicine, give full play to the advantages of traditional Chinese medicine, constantly improve emergency treatment ability, continuously optimize the level of medical services, and make greater contributions to protecting people's health.
