On August 14, 2020, Dongzhimen Hospital of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine and Dongzhi District Health Service Management Center jointly organized the second phase of the Chinese medicine appropriate technology training. The training received 27 community nurses from 25 service stations. Some of them were young nurses who had just started the work, some were business backbones who had been working for many years, some were retired senior nurses. With different ages, different educational backgrounds and different titles, they were seriously prepared and went all out to complete it in the whole day of study, practice and assessment.
As early as 2006, Dongzhimen Hospital established cooperation with Dongcheng Community Health Service Management Center, and set up the Community Department for the first time in China, to gradually promoted the new mode of providing services for the convenience and benefit of the community and improved the community residents' sense of access to medical services. Director Yu Guoyong of the General Office presided over the opening ceremony of the class, which not only put forward strict requirements for the training teachers, but also hoped that the students could learn something and make use of what they had learned.
The training invited Tan Cheng, the deputy chief physician of the Acupuncture and Moxibustion Department to give theoretical lectures and on-site operation demonstrations of the scrapping technology and cupping technology. Teacher Tan taught vivid and interesting lessons, which were simple but profound, combining theory with practice, and was highly praised by the students.
After the training, Gao Ning, the head nurse of the International Department, Zhao Pei, the teaching assistant, Zhang Xi and Qu Renying, the clinical teachers, conducted on-site guidance and operation assessment for the students' hand in hand. The students took a serious attitude and took an active part in it. In a short period of time, they mastered 2 appropriate techniques of traditional Chinese medicine, and all of them passed the technical assessment of operation.
After the training, the students said that they benefited a lot and hoped that they could have another chance to participate in the training of TCM appropriate technology. This activity, on the one hand, enhanced the friendship between Dongzhimen Hospital and Dongcheng Community Health Service Management Center, and enriched the form and connotation of medical consortium construction. It is hoped that we could carry out more in-depth and close cooperation in the future, and benefit Dongcheng people with TCM characteristic therapy.
