On May 1, 2021, the Beijing Chinese medicine ordinance (hereinafter referred to as the regulations) will be formally implemented, the regulations are the rebuilding of the TCM legislation in Beijing, which is the important guarantee to the healthy development of the cause of Chinese medicine in the capital, playing an important role in the development process of Chinese medicine in this city, also an important part of perfecting legal construction. The regulations have solidified the experience of TCM involved in the fight against COVID - 19 outbreak, perfected the layout of service resources of traditional Chinese medicine, and established management systems including TCM integrated Western medicine, TCM decoction and distribution, inheritance the recording of Chinese medicine clinics’ bad behaviors. It has also clarified "six" by- laws, to establish by law, to practice by law, to supervise by law , to transform by law, to subsume by law and to guarantee by law.

　　In order to promote the implementation of the Regulations, the Beijing Municipal Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine held a publicity and training activity on the implementation of the Regulations on April 30. The list of 100 "Capital Famous TCM", 55 "Excellent TCM" and 50 "Capital Young AND Middle-aged TCM" was announced at the event site. Meanwhile, Beijing TCM Science and Technology Innovation Transformation Platform, Beijing TCM Evidence-based Medicine Center and Beijing TCM Intellectual Property Protection Service Center were established at the event site.
