Beijing Chaoyang District promotes traditional Chinese Medicine culture on campus

  On May 13, 2021, the "Camp" of Chaoyang District, Beijing was held in the health education training meeting on 5.20 Students' Nutrition Day.

  At the training meeting, Wang Yi, director of the nutrition department of the Food therapy department of Guang an men Hospital of China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences, took the theme of traditional Chinese medicine culture onto the table of the campus", and explained the edible value of daily cereal crops such as rice, millet, buckwheat, soybean, mung bean and red bean with the combination of traditional Chinese medicine theory and nutrition.

  "Beans originally originated in China and were called beans in ancient times for 5,000 years. Soybeans are also known as meat in the field, spleen, water detumescence good..." This is a section of soybean nursery rhymes created and edited by Wang Yi. Wang yi said that the nursery rhymes give the grain the connotation of TRADITIONAL Chinese medicine culture and let students know the small knowledge of the same origin of medicine and food at the dinner table, which plays a positive role in cultivating the campus culture of traditional Chinese medicine.

  Chaoyang District took the lead in launching the training of traditional Chinese medicine culture on campus "onto the dining table" culture and nutrition. The training was conducted online and offline for more than 2,000 school principals, school doctors, food safety administrators and canteen chefs from more than 700 public primary and secondary schools, private primary and secondary schools and kindergartens in the district. After the training, they will carry out traditional Chinese medicine culture propaganda and education activities for 210,000 students in primary, middle and kindergarten schools in the region.
