The opening ceremony of Beijing's first TCM health yard aims to innovate the service mode of Traditional Chinese medicine and play a good exemplary role in the revitalization of rural areas and rural construction. Before 2015, Gaoyakou Village in Changping had weak medical conditions, insufficient health resources and medical environment, which was equivalent to a "blank village" in medical treatment. Professor Xu Fengqin led the expert team from the hospital to the community and the countryside, forming a level-iii hospital-community-village progressive promotion model. In the past few years, Xu Fengqin's team has visited Gaoyakou Village nearly 40 times during holidays . Team members have visited gaoyakou village for more than 240 times in total, provided diagnosis, treatment and consultation for more than 4,000 villagers, distributed more than 5,000 copies of publicity materials, carried out more than 20 health lectures, and completed more than 620 residents' health baseline surveys. The activity has filled the gap at the grass-roots level high cliff village medical, effectively reduced the new disease rate and fatality rate, and significantly improved the health level of the village, enhanced the residents' health consciousness, reduced the expense of health care and NCMS, and eased the burden of medical expenses of residents.
