To accelerate the construction of community hospitals and further improve the basic medical and health service system, the national health committee general office and the office of the state administration of traditional Chinese medicine recently issued Notice about quickening construction of community hospital and emphasized to pay attention to giving full play to the advantages of “simple ,convenient, effective, inexpensive” of TCM, strengthen the service ability construction of comprehensive services of TCM (such as Traditional Chinese medicine hall and national physician pavilion), highlight the characteristics of Traditional Chinese medicine and encourage the provision of comprehensive services integrating TCM medical treatment, prevention, health care and rehabilitation services.
According to the notice, efforts should be made to adapt to the increasingly severe situation of chronic disease prevention and control and the needs of major disease prevention and control, strengthen the integration of medical treatment and prevention, and provide disease prevention and treatment and health management services. Based on regular community epidemic prevention and control, fever clinics have been set up in qualified areas to improve our ability to detect, report and deal with infectious diseases in a timely manner.
According to the requirements of the Notice, local hospitals should be equipped with clinical, laboratory, imaging, Traditional Chinese medicine, rehabilitation, prevention and health care, psychological, children's health care and other suitable talents for community hospitals according to the development and department construction of community hospitals. We will give full play to the role of existing medical and health personnel training institutions at all levels and of various types, carry out standardized training for residents and general practitioners in community hospitals, and improve their clinical medical and health service capabilities. We will strengthen training of medical personnel in nursing, pharmacy, medical skills and rehabilitation.
