A special lecture on medical footprints in the history of the Party was held in Guang'anmen Hospital

On the afternoon of July 26th, a special lecture on the study of Party history was held in Guang'anmen Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences. Tu Zhitao, a member of the Party Committee of the Beijing Municipal Health Commission and director of the Beijing Municipal Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, gave a speech titled Medical Footprints in the History of the Party - the development process of medical and health services under the leadership of the Party(1921-1949). The lecture was a combination of visiting the exhibition of the same name and listening to thematic explanations. More than 30 members of the leadership team and representatives of party members and cadres attended the lecture. Wang Xiaopin, Secretary of the Party Committee of Guang'anmen Hospital, presided over the ceremony.

This lecture is based on the concept of "small incisions, big patterns" and "small stories, big feelings". Through photos, texts, and cultural relics from different angles and aspects, the lecture led party members to relive the development historyof medical and health services in the magnificent revolutionary years. Among them, it not only summarizes Chairman Mao Zedong's instructions on uniting Chinese and Western medicine in different periods, but also introduces several far-reaching "firsts" in the history of red medicine, such as the first hospital founded by the Red Army and the first medical college founded by our party, the birth of the world's first traditional Chinese medicine injection, Chaihu injection, and the praise for the unsung heroes in the history of red medicine.
